Totem Saa was born in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.  His work examines the subjectivity of self-purpose amidst a turbulent political landscape. Totem employs color, line and form as a strategy to articulate his artistic ethos – the innate ability of art to empower humans as a means of creative and critical mobilization.
